Connected in Recovery. Rooted in Faith.
A safe space for muslims in recovery to seek healing and growth.
Recovery with Allah's mercy, inspired by Millati Islami's adoption of AA.
Welcome to MRA – Muslim Recovery Anonymous
Addiction is not a failure of faith — it is a medical condition that affects people across all walks of life, including the most devout. Yet too often in our Muslim communities, those struggling with substance use are met with silence, shame, or judgment instead of the mercy and support our faith calls us to embody.
At MRA, we believe that healing begins where stigma ends. Our spaces are rooted in compassion, not condemnation — where individuals are free to be honest, vulnerable, and human. Together, we are working to dismantle harmful narratives and create a culture where seeking help is a strength, not a secret.
No one should have to choose between their faith and their recovery. You are not alone, and your story is welcome here.
MRA is a supportive community for Muslims overcoming addiction, guided by Islamic principles and the 12-step model, fostering healing through conversation, accountability, and sincere reliance on Allah (SWT).
